Event Recaps > Paris’ La Coupole brasserie “moves” to Washington for a one-night special event
April 13, 2011
The legendary La Coupole brasserie of Paris successfully “invaded” our nation’s capital on April 13, serving up a special menu that delighted French International Culinary Society members and other guests in attendance at the Washington Club in downtown Washington, D.C.
Prepared by the brasserie’s Chef Jean-Philippe Bourgueil – who was joined by Roland Borne, Technical Director of the Brasseries Flo parent company – this tasting event’s cuisine was highlighted by appetizing dishes such as poached eggs meurette, scallop royale with lobster sauce and caramelized vegetable confits with pine nuts and basil.
Adding to the festive atmosphere were pianist Marcus Johnson and DJ Young Pulse, who treated guests to a repertoire of contemporary smooth jazz music throughout the evening.
